We had a great time spent with nature on the last weekend. A New ►► Beginning as our motto, the trip to Janda Baik, Pahang start journey at Friday morning. From there, we had so much fun going on. For some reason, I can only upload some of the fun. I let the participants to know on their own of what we have been trough :).  

The program upgrade us to a new level of thinking what we will encounter in near future, besides some of very fun activity. Special thanks to our program coordinator, Mr.Wan also support the program, Mdm. Jamizan, Mr. Zul, and Mdm. Farah.

This wedding took place at Jempol Negeri Sembilan. Quite far from Shah Alam though but it is a nice place :). On our way to the wedding, we spotted this nice park and decided to take photos here after the event. The photos are took with fish eye lens and stretch using PTlens.

Defishing with PTlens - convert fish eye to super wide angle image

Does anyone of you having fun playing fish eye lens like I do? Then you should try this too, a process to remove the fish eye distortion and make it an ultra wide angle images. With the lens that I have 8mm fish eye Samyang, I tried to remove the fish eye lens have using Photoshop but not succeed. I then search a software that can do that for me and Google give me these three different type of software that actually can do the job perfectly. That is DxO Pro Optics 6, PTlens, and Fisheye Hemi plugin. I choose PTlens as the software easly downloaded from the net and offer small size compared to others.

The process is called defishing. Defishing is actually stretched the images till it gets the horizontal and vertical axes are straight. All of the corner images become unsharp and blurred a bit. This process  perfect for fish eye lens that ranges from 15mm to 20mm. And when you using lens like mine the 8mm one, the corner becomes more worse than other lenses above. The final image look like panoramas as they stretch wider.

The software offers two different types of launcher. From standalone application and plugin from Photoshop. Perfect for landscape photography, and when it comes to people, just like normal super wide angle lens it will distort them. Preferably use fish eye for detail and creative shot. This software is only option for photographer out there to try new options using their fish eye lens.

Lucky number 111111

On last beautiful date, that is 11.11.11, me and the whole team need to get the lucky couple to be photograph. It is their engagement day. And the reception continue on the next two day. But the bride and groom are so happy just by see their faces. Congratulation to both of them and also thanks to make us BigMedia Works to your official wedding photographer.

Canon Unveils the EOS C300, Jumps Into the Hollywood Digital Filmmaking Scene

Canon’s historic announcement is here, and as most people predicted, it’s geared towards filmmaking rather than photography. The company just unveiled its new C300 cinema camera in an effort to break into a Hollywood digital filmmaking scene that’s dominated by the Arri Alexa and the RED EPIC. While it’s not particularly powerful in any specific category, the new camera comes in EOS or PL lens mounts, shoots 1080p video with a 4K sensor, has dual CF card slots, and offers high quality footage in a relatively small form factor.

Wooooow, Canon is really moving forward. Now they are producing tools to break Hollywood filming with this portable high performance film recorder. And it is compatible with current lenses :) Imagine many creative shot that can handled with the advantages of portability.
